A quirky violet-blue wildflower with a squarish, compact head.

Its leaves are hairy, often purple tinged and oval to diamondshaped.

Distribution

Found throughout the UK.

Habitat

Grassland, wood clearings, rough ground, lawns.

Flowers from June to September
